Vice
When Dick Cheney is arrested for drunk driving in the 60's, his fiancée gives an ultimatum to her alcoholic boyfriend: either he pulls himself together and starts fighting to become successful, or she will leave him. A few years later, they married, and in 2001, Cheney became Vice President of the United States under George W. Bush. He became the most influential vice president in American history and had a major impact on the decision to invade Iraq, a decision that still greatly affects the world. "Vice is the good type of grown-up film that is rarely seen - great entertainment that at the same time makes you feel a little smarter and more ideologically and politically challenged than usual," writes Helena Lindblad in Dagens Nyheter. Both Christian Bale and Amy Adams were nominated for Oscars for their roles as Dick and Lynne Cheney.
