Finnish musician Juice Leskinen was at the center of the music movement that began singing pop and rock in the Finnish language in the 1970s. His lyrics have been praised for their poetic qualities and a melancholy that was well received by the Finnish people. The film Juice is based on his life and was a success in his home country where it received eight Jussi nominations and won three of them.
