Red Joan
Librarian Joan Stanley's quiet retirement life is shaken to the ground when she is suddenly arrested for espionage. How this could happen, we also get to know when we look back at Joan, as a young Cambridge student gets a job as an assistant in a top-secret research project. At the same time, she gets to know the Russians Sonya and Leo, the latter Joan is falling in love with. Joan is drawn into their political life and begin to give them top secret information. The film is inspired by true events, and Jens Peterson on Aftonbladet thinks that "Judi Dench, 84, is very good as the aged Joan, and is well matched by Sophie Cookson as the young idealist." Björn Jansson writes in Björn's Film Guide at P4 that this is an interesting story.
The film is not playable outside of Sweden
