After the divorce Klara moves with her mother out to the countryside. She feels excluded and have a hard time getting friends. To get into the gang she follows the others to riding school and before she knows it, she has signed up herself to a big race competition, even though she cannot ride. The rescue is Jonte, who secretly helps Klara to train on the ugly horse Star that nobody wants - but Star turns out to be the big star.
