Comic-con episode IV: a fan's hope
Comic-Con started in the 1970s in San Diego as a small comic book convention with 500 hardcore fans and has since grown into one of the largest events for popular culture with over 140,000 visitors every year. In this documentary by Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me, The greatest movie ever sold) we get to follow a number of people who have traveled to this Mecca of fandom. Illustrator Eric is hoping to meet the right people in the art industry to jump start his career. Costume and monster designer Holly is hoping that her creations will win prizes at the gala. James is planning to propose in a spectacular way. We will also meet Comic-Con veterans Stan Lee (Iron man, Spider-Man, Avengers) and producer Eli Roth.
