Manifesto

Allowed 95 minutes 2015 6.5

The German installation artist Julian Rosefeldt has collected different manifestos of historical and contemporary persons and has the multiple Oscar winner Cate Blanchett to perform them all. From reciting The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels as an elderly male bum to, as a teacher behind the cathedral recite Lars von Trier and Thomas Vinterberg's Dogme 95, Cate Blanchett goes through 13 different characters, all equally spellbinding. Eva van Geijerstam writes in DN that in the film's best scenes it’s "as if Rosefeldt actually manages to highlight the soul of Cate Blanchett's different characters."
