Opera

15 yrs 107 minutes 1987 6.9

The young opera singer Betty is given the lead role in a set of Verdi’s Macbeth after the first pick had broken her leg. Betty is praised by the critics and reaches a star status, which attracts new admirers, and not only the kind you would like. A sadistic killer kidnaps Betty and forces her to look on as he murders new victims. This is one of Dario Argento's most violent films and it would take six years after Opera had premiered before he made a new Giallo movie.
