A young couple buys an idyllic home in the countryside to get away from the chaos of the city. But sweet rural life soon turns into a nightmare. When they come home after an evening out, their house has been turned into a death trap, and now they are forced to participate in an unequal struggle for survival against a psychopath who has the upper hand. Home sweet home is a horror movie that is at the intersection of the home invasion genre and the cat-and-mouse game, where the safe and ordinary suddenly becomes terrible and dangerous and where the threat is an unknown person who plays with them.
