Monsieur Hulot's Holiday

Allowed 95 minutes 1953 7.3

In the 1953 film Monsieur Hulot's Holiday, Jacques Tati appeared as Monsieur Hulot for the first time. Wearing his hat, pants that are too short and the constantly extinguishing pipe, he arrives at the small seaside resort on the Atlantic coast. With his unique, strutting style, he steps out of his angry quilting car – and rises straight into the film history! Always friendly – but with a unique ability to create chaos. In Svenska Dagbladet, the film was called "the world's funniest film" and in Göteborgsposten it was stated that the film "has to be acknowledged as one of the great masterpieces".
