Freed from his house arrest, but still prohibited to work, Iranian director Ja'far Panahi continues to make movies. Passengers of all kinds speaks with open hearts about their lives to the taxi driver played by the director himself. With the camera on the dashboard in his mobile movie studio, Panahi succeeds with both humor and drama to paint a picture of Iran of today. Dagens Nyheter’s Helena Lindblad writes that "Panahi and his Taxi Teheran show with a twinkle in the eye that there are many, not just filmmakers, who believe in a freer future for Iran." She gives Taxi Teheran, which won the Golden Bear in Berlin 2015, the second highest rating.
