11-year-old Toni puts all her waking hours into boxing. One day she sees the city's prestigious dance group through the window of the gymnasium, and is deeply taken by their radiant self-esteem and cohesion. Eager to become one of the community, Toni exchanges boxing for dancing, learning steps and routines, and piercing her ears to fit into the group. But when the rest of the group is struck by strange fainting attacks, Toni's eagerness is put to the test. When it was premiereed at the Venice Film Festival, critics were lyrical and Filmsöndag's Fredrik Fyhr writes that "The Fits is a film that's easy to miss, but a movie you should see."
