Santa Fe Trail is all about classic wild west. Erroll Flynn and Ronald Reagan (later president of the USA) play Jeb Stuart and George Custard, two newly graduated officers from the West Point military academy that get stationed in the lawless Kansas territory. On the way there they meet and fall in love with the same woman, Kit Holliday, played by Olivia de Havilland. What follows is an exciting story about the pursuit of John Brown and his gang, all the time with their battle for Kits favor in the background. The New York Times thought it "has about everything that a high-priced horse-opera should have—hard riding, hard shooting, hard fighting, a bit of hard drinking and Errol Flynn".
