The Red Shoes is directed by filmmakers Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. A young ballerina Victoria Page, faced with an insoluble conflict between the two men. Two men with different interests about her. Boris Lermontov is a ballet impressario who sees a potential star in Victoria and therefore requires her utter devotion to their art and complete loyalty to Lermontov himself. The other man is Julian Craster, composer of The Red Shoes ballet, who falls in love with her. It will be a battle between love and passion for art. The Red Shoes is a tragic drama in shimmering beautiful technicolor. This film from 1948 won two Oscars and was nominated for three more Oscars in 1949.
