The eight kids Maren, Martin, Marte, Mads, Mona, Milly, Mina and Morten have moved with their parents and grandmother from the tiny city apartment to a cozy, red house in the forest. Here there is plenty of room for everyone to play, and having grandmother around proves to be useful and great fun. She watches the kids, sells waffles to passing ski-goers, and mediates the best she can between her own local knights and attacking Indians from Tiriltoppen.
