King of Algiers

After being sentenced to twenty years in prison in France, Omar is on the run, but plans to escape his sentence by hiding in Algeria for the rest of his life with his co-conspirator Roger. He is reluctantly forced to stay on the right side of the law and takes a job at a large bakery where he meets the tough and dazzling Samia. Omar tries to adjust to a normal life, but he and Roger fall back into old habits of drugs and violence. Trouble soon mounts, and Omar realizes he must fight to restore himself and protect the ones he loves.
