After the death of actor and director Yusuke Kafuku's wife, he is assigned to direct a production at a theater festival in Hiroshima. Misaki is a young woman who is hired to be Yusuke's driver during his stay. An unexpected friendship grows between them as they investigate together the mysteries Yusuke's wife left behind. Drive my car won an Oscar for Best International Film in 2022 and is based on a short story by Haruki Murakami.
