Young and innocent

In Alfred Hitchcock's 1937 film classic Young and Innocent, the actress Christine Clay (Pamela Carme) is found murdered on the beach by one of her boyfriends, the author Robert Tisdall (Derrick De Marney). When he runs to call the police, two witnesses believe he is the killer. Robert is arrested, but manages to escape and runs off with the police chief's daughter Erica (Nova Pilbeam) determined to prove his innocence.
