Across the waters
Copenhagen, 1943. The rumor that the Germans want to deport all Danish Jews is spreading, and Arne Itkin, a famous Jewish jazz musician, is beginning to fear for his family's life. A resistance movement offers transport with local fishermen who bring people across the strait to Sweden, and Arne, his wife Miriam and their 6-year-old son Jacob see no other option than to try to get out that way. But everywhere, the Gestapo seeks out those who are trying to escape using informers. How will they know who to trust?
