Out of the Darkness is the sequel to the Danish filmsuccess Into the Darkness and the story of the Skov family during the German occupation of Denmark during World War II. The year is 1943 and the son Aksel, who joined the resistance movement, has been forced to go underground. Father Karl fights for the family business with increasingly difficult conditions to ensure a future for the family even after the war, even though it means some concessions. His choice tests the relationship with Eva, who always had problems with her husband's collaboration with the occupying power. The first part, Into the Darkness, also is available on Viddla.
