Katie Says Goodbye

Kind-hearted 17-year-old Katie works as a waitress in a sleepy small town in the southeastern United States. She dreams of leaving the bleak, dull existence behind and plans to travel to San Francisco to create a new life for herself. Living with her mother, she feels responsible for her financial stability as well, and to get the money she needs, she prostitutes herself to the local men in the area. But when she falls in love with Bruno, who moved to town to work as a mechanic, things start to change and threaten her dreams. The film was awarded at Stockholm Filmfestival 2016.
