The Ides of March
The film takes place during an American presidential campaign, where George Clooney, who plays the lead and stands for the directing, is the Democratic presidential candidate Morris. When he hired the young, driven and intelligent press secretary, played by Ryan Gosling, both are pulled into a dirty game where sex, ambitions, loyalty, betrayal, and revenge become the main theme. Will the young presidential press secretary manage the power game and stand for his idealism? Jan Söderqvist in SvD believes that "These actors give us a high-quality material. It's a beautiful dialogue. And as director, Clooney is strikingly skilled with great hints."
