Leap!
In the 1880s Paris, the orphan Felice dreams of becoming a ballerina at the Opera. She manages to escape from the orphanage where she lives, with assistance from her inventive friend Victor, and now the adventure really starts. Felicie must fight hard, against all odds, to show that she has what it takes to be a ballerina. Annika Andersson at Moviezine describes the film as a “French Cinderella-story with American ‘self-made’-ideals”, which admittingly contains some clichés, but “that doesn’t stop even a critical adult like me to shed a sentimental tear”.
