In The Major, a police officer is forced to make a very hard decision. When his wife is in the hospital to give birth to their child, he rushes to the hospital in his car. Unfocused and speeding, he doesn’t see the child in front of the car until it’s too late. Now it’s time to make a quick decision – should he confess what he has done and do his inevitable time in prison, or hide the evidence to live out his life with his wife and their newborn child? The film was nominated for the Grand Prize at Cannes Critics Week.
