In The Valley Of Elah
Hank Deerfield is looking for his son Mike, who has been reported missing on his way home from the Iraq war. When the son is found murdered, Hank seeks answers to questions about the life Mike lived and who he really was, while the female detective Sanders manages the official police investigation. The main roles are played by Tommy Lee Jones and Charlize Theron and Aftonbladet's Jan-Olov Andersson writes that they perform "two superbly outdone personal portraits. Few can like Jones, with small, small means, portray a person who is like a pressure cooker about to explode emotionally."
