In the second chapter of Nicolas Philibert's triptych after the Golden Bear winner On board Adamant, we follow patients and caregivers in two psychiatric wards at Esquirol hospital in Paris. Through conversations and meetings, the patients' inner worlds are revealed - filled with fears, dreams and a struggle for dignity - in a care environment struggling with a lack of resources. Philibert portrays a psychiatry that still listens, in the midst of a society that often forgets.
