Jim Carrey, Brad Pitt and our Astrid Lindgren collection is expanded!
Jim Carrey has already proven that he is more than a very funny actor, in films like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. But in the thriller The Number 23 we see him in a new kind of role; a dog catcher who is obsessed with the number 23. “He's incredibly good, when the madness after a while glows in his eyes you are almost afraid for real”, writes Patrik Andersson in GP.
In The Tree of Life, we see Brad Pitt who also plays a unique role. Maria Domellöf-Wik, at GP, writes that it is his "most composite role in his career" in the review where she gives the film the highest rating. It's a classic growing up-story about Jack, one of three brothers in a family in the Midwest. The mother is a sensitive woman who stands for love and empathy. The father, on the other hand, tries to teach his sons to put themselves in the first place.
We have also updated our Astrid Lindgren library with three films about Madicken, Lotta on Troublemaker Street and the children of Bullerby Village.
Have a great movie weekend!
