A stranger is washed up on the beaches of the monkey kingdom. The mysterious guest turns out to be a prince from a foreign land. Hurt and lost, he is discovered by young Tom. Tom shows the prince a society he could never even dream of - a whole new world. But not everyone is happy with the new guest, some are afraid that he will bring to much change to their lives. The French animation veteran Jean-Francois Laguionie has created a film that explores what defines us. A philosophical story, an adventure and a journey between two worlds where the monkey's humanism and man's calculating intelligence give perspective on life.
