This Oscar-winning film from 1939, directed by John Ford became a milestone in the history of western films and John Wayne's breakthrough. Nine people travel together in a diligence and they end up in a lot of events during their way, for example, an Indian attack (where you can see Yakima Canut's famous stunt work). The script is based on a book by Ernest Haycox. According to Bonniers filmguide, the film balances on "characterization against brilliant action scenes".
