For Greater Glory

15 yrs 145 minutes 2012 6.5

During the 1920’s, Mexico is strictly ruled by the terror regime. The president’s hatred against Catholicism leads to the persecution of believers, murders of priests and burned down churches. The rebels find their leader in the retired general Enrique Gorostieta, who can’t keep quiet any more in the shadow of the slaughter of his own people. Soon, 50 000 men are ready to sacrifice everything in battle against the government. Justin Craig of Fox News compares the movie with Steven Spielberg’s classic in the same genre, and writes that “though similar in style to “War Horse,” “For Great Glory” is a much more satisfying journey”
