The Railway Man

15 yrs 112 minutes 2013 7.1

The Railway Man is a drama based on the true story and the bestselling autobiography of the same name. Eric Lomax was a British officer who was captured during World War II, and along with thousands of Allied prisoners of war, was forced to work on building the railway between Burma and Thailand. The torture and experiences in the prison camp left him deeply traumatized and shut out from the outside world. Years later, he falls in love with Patti, a woman who is determined to free Eric from his demons. With the help of Patti and best friend Finlay, Eric returns to the detention center and manages to track down the Japanese officer who kidnapped and tortured him.
