Dredd is based on a satirical cartoon from the 70's where the action is set in Mega City One in the desolate kingdom Cursed Earth. Judge Dredd is the most feared of the so-called street judges, and he and his rookie colleague are commissioned to free the city from the lethal drug Slo-Mo, which allows users to experience the reality of slow motion. During the mission, they are trapped in a skyscraper controlled by a mafia boss.
