#Viddlaweek - The first films

This week we want to celebrate the film. That is why we want to call it Viddla week. Hope you like it!

Viddla was launched in 2017. These are the first five films released by Viddla. Perhaps you haven't seen them yet?

Magic in the Moonlight: Stanley is a magician who has dedicated his life to revealing fraudulent spiritualists. He plans to quickly uncover the truth behind celebrated spiritualist Sophie and her scheming mother. However, the more time he spends with her, he starts thinking that she might actually be able to communicate with the other world. 

Mig äger ingen: The story about 5-year-old Lisa's unconditional love for her alcoholic father. It is also a depiction of Sweden in the 70's and the working class fading ideals. The mother leaves the family and Lisa is struggling to maintain the image of the hero father. In the end, Lisa is facing a life-changing choice.

Mud:14 year-old Ellis (Tye Sheridan) lives on a makeshift houseboat on the banks of a river in Arkansas with his parents, Mary Lee (Sarah Paulson) and Senior (Ray McKinnon). He sneaks out early one morning to meet his best friend, Neckbone (Jacob Lofland). Neckbone, also 14, lives with his uncle, Galen (Michael Shannon), who makes a hardscrabble living diving for oysters. The two boys set out to an island on the Mississippi River, where Neckbone has discovered an unusual sight-a boat, suspended high in the trees, a remnant of an extreme flood some time in the past. They climb the tree and into the boat only to find fresh bread and fresh footprints. Realizing that they are not the only ones who have discovered the treehouse boat, they decide to leave.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona:Sexually adventurous Cristina and her friend Vicky, who is bright but cautious, holiday in Barcelona where they meet the celebrated and wholly seductive painter, Juan Antonio. Vicky is not about to dive into a sexual adventure being committed to her forthcoming marriage. But Cristina is immediately captivated by Juan Antonio's free spirit and his romantic allure is enhanced when she hears the delicious details of his divorce from fellow artist, the tempestuous Maria Elena.

Gentlemen: In this award winning film, Mikael Marcimain given life to Klas Östergrens novel about the eccentric brother Morgan's improbable life. It is an epic tale of a changing society with jazz, poetry, love and espionage in postwar Europe. When Klas moves into Henry Morgan place in Stockholm, he is drawn into his brothers' improbable world of arms trafficking, smuggling, love and a buried gold treasure
