Caroline, a French architect, is on a business trip in Vilnius and has to spend an extra night in the city due to a late meeting. She meets Jacob, a Finnish disc jockey who is also in the city for work, at a bar. Even though they don’t have a common language to communicate in, an attraction arises, and they spend a night together. When Caroline is about to leave the city the following morning, an ash cloud has stopped all air traffic and the next 24 hours may change their lives. "Bit by bit, the people appear to be much more complicated than they first seemed to be.
